Planetary Missions Technical Committee
The Planetary Missions Technical Committee plans how the lunar
community will support manned and unmanned missions outside of
cislunar space. These missions might include sending spacecraft
to other planets and their moons, to asteroids, or to deep space.
The committee estimates the future demand for support to these
space missions and determines the resources the missions will require.
They calculate the relative costs of providing these resources from
the Moon vs using other methods of supply. The committee maintains a model
which defines the Artemis Project's standard reference for predicting
the number and type of such space missions throughout the coming century.
The committee develops a finacial model for support to these space missions
and provides that model as input to the economic model developed by the
Lunar Base Advanced Planning Technical Committee.
