Cislunar Space Traffic Technical Committee
The Cislunar Space Traffic Model Technical Committee develops a model
for manned and unmanned space traffic for the next century. They research
existing predictions and plans for use of spacecraft in cisliunar space -
everything from low Earth orbit out to the orbit of the Moon. The
committee adds in estimates of the demand for space traffic added by the
activities of the lunar community as defined by the Artemis Project scenarios.
These numbers include the amounts and types of material moved from one point
to another, and types of spacecraft which carry the material. The committee
develops scenarios for development of space traffic, and estimates the
effect this development will have on its own model. They examine predicted
development of industry on the Moon, and project opportunities for the
lunar community to earn revenues by providing services to the cislunar space
traffic industry, such as fuels, spacecraft, maintenance of spacecraft,
and demand for spacecraft for transporting people and material. This
model inputs into the economic model developed by the Lunar Base Advanced
Planning Technical Committee.
