Lunar Mining
Technical Committee
The Lunar Mining Technical Committee forecasts the future of the
mining industry on the Moon. They estimate the market for mined
products as the space community grows; study the resources available
on the Moon to determine what can be economically mined; define
equipment, procedures, and processes required to mine the Moon;
and estimate the costs of providing the necessary equipment and personnel
to the lunar mining industry. The committee provides the lunar mining
industry inputs to the model being developed by the Lunar Base Advanced Planning
Technical Committee.
