Chemicals

The lunar community will need an extensive chemicals industry to supply the basic raw materials for almost all industrial processes. In this section of the Artemis Data Book we examine the needs of projected lunar industries, sources of supply for the lunar chemicals industry, processing techniques and required systems, and financial projections for the chemicals industry on the moon.

For source material about the chemistry of lunar material, refer to section M 8. Chemistry in Appendix M About the Moon. You will find additional information about the chemistry of lunar material throughout of Appendix M.
