Ceramics

We don't expect to have a lot of clay to work with, but nevetheless, the moon offers materials ideal for some parts of the ceramics industry. The dusty regolith can be sintered to make bricks and other forms, and moon soil has the right chemical mix for making very strong glasses.

In this section of the Artemis Data Book, we examine the ceramics industry on the moon: what the lunar community is likely to make from local material, where the raw material comes from, and how they will adapt to using moonstuff to substitute for the ceramics we use here on Earth.
