Communication on the Moon

Telephones ... pagers ... messaging pagers ... paper mail ... electronic mail ... radio ... television ... motion pictures ... the World Wide Web ... books ... magazines ... the human animal is clearly a compulsive communicator. Today on Earth, all these forms of communication are merging, changing, and evolving. On the moon, we add new opportunities and new problems for providing communication systems to the lunar community.

What forms will the communication systems of moon take? What will they need within a village? A city? Among nations of the moon? For communication between the moon and Earth and other planets? What resources will they need to provide communication services to themselves and their trading partners throughout the solar system?
