Rotating Moon Globe The moon globe is derived from the Fourmilab Earth Moon Viewer, which uses data from the Clementine mission. It consists of 72 images, each representing a rotation of 5°. Lunar north is at the top. This is an albedo map of the moon showing the relative brightness of the lunar surface features, so topographical features that would be visible due to their shadows and uneven lighting are not very prominent in the image. |
