LPSTC Task Listing
The basic work to be done by the committee is described
in the ASI W9700243,
the committee's work breakdown, also in this directory.
Following is a assortment of tasks pertaining to the work breakdown. Feel free to pick one, or to
make up your own. Technical Reports should be submitted in accordance with
the standard template, ASI W9700245.
If a topic is currently under investigation, the name of the individual(s) is(are) shown in
italics. If you can think of any other tasks that should be included, please
let me know at < pblase@dcscorp.com >.
- Power usage by various Artemis facilities and vehicles.
These will include electrical power for lighting; computers and communication; lifesupport; and, where necessary, locomotion.
Information may be supplied for any or all of the various settlement stages.
- Agricultural facilities - Paul Blase
- Living quarters
- Science facilities
- Manufacturing facilities
- Tourist facilities not covered elsewhere
- Transportation buses, tramlines, etc. Note that some of these may be powered
by internally stored power, others by power from a central facility.
- Construction and mining machinery. May include dozers, trucks, and draglines,
either teleoperated or with crew cabin.
- Power generation and storage.
Gather information on current and anticipated technologies and perform
initial systems design.
- Photovoltaic Cells (surface mounted)

- Power Transmission
Gather information on current and anticipated technologies and perform

- Power frequency and voltages.
- Transmission cables: standard and superconducting.
- Other transmission methods (e.g. microwave or laser).
