Bulletin Boards
If you don't have access to Internet e-mail, or choose not to join the
Artemis mailing lists, you can still participate in the discussions going
on in some of the mailing lists through local Bulletin Board Systems (BBSs) that
are connected together using the FidoNet network. An automated gateway
sends all mailing list traffic to FidoNet sites and responses from those
sites are posted to the mailing lists. Plans are also underway to connect the
Artemis mailing lists to the RIME BBS network.
For details on the Artemis FidoNet connection, check out David Brummel's
description of the Artemis FidoNet gateway.
More information about the planned RIME connection is available in Jim Nobles'
overview of the proposed Artemis RIME gateway.
