Lunar Science Technical Committee Responsibilities
The Lunar Science Technical Committee
serves to compile and summarize
existing knowledge of the Moon and to identify lunar research projects that
would directly further the long term goals of the Artemis Project. The specific areas of
responsibility for this committee are:
- To provide accurate technical information and sources of additional
information concerning conditions on the lunar surface as a resource for
other technical committees. The committee has
overall responsibility for
Appendix M of the Artemis Data
Book, and will delegate parts of Appendix M
as appropriate to other organizational elements.
- Identify candidate experiments that are directly necessary to further the
long term goals of the Artemis mission or have entertainment value or can
bring in external funding/political support.
- Answer specific questions from other organizational elements relevant to
lunar science.
