Engineering Criteria

It is important to look at all the design options, but we do need to keep in mind we have to close the loop on cost at the expense of engineering elegance.

We have four basic design criteria:

1. Will it work?
2. Will it kill the crew?
3. Can we afford it?
4. Does it look neat?

Engineering elegance isn't even on the list.
