This is essentially the same file organization we use in the Imagery Library and the web sites for Moon Miners Manifesto and Frontier Status Report, with the notable exception that the dates are 100 years in the future.

This directory organization allows us to use WebSite Director to generate the index.html files. WSD can read a title for the link, and the description for a description of the events that occured on that day.

The diary entries will be presented in chronological order, oldest to newest. It would be nice to present them in reverse chronological order, newest first, but that option is not currently available from WebSite Director and I can't think of a reasonable way to adopt a filenaming convention that would force reverse chronological order.

Breaking up the diaries by year will keep the number of files presented in any one index page under control, although it means the visitor will have to click an extra link to get to the diaries.

Write out the date and put the character's name in parenthesis. In general, the date should be 100 years after the actual date that the diary entry is scheduled to be published on the web site. Note that WebSite Director can schedule pages for publication at any future date, so diary entries do not need to go on line in the order they are submitted.

It's also OK to back-date diary entries to fill in events in the story of the lives of our tour guides. We might never need to do this, but we can.

Written in the FIRST PERSON from the viewpoint of the character who is writing the diary entry. Very concise summary of the events described in the diary entry. Keep it as short as possible because this information will be used in the index.html page.

About the Tour Guides

An image of at least one of the three tour guides (Pasiphae, Carla, and Caddy) should appear on every page of the Moon Sims web site. They are the primary viewpoint characters for presenting the story of what it will be like to live in the Luna City Cavern.
